Service 40 runs every ten minutes between Wallsend and Hadrian Park via Station Road, High Farm and Battle Hill. Buses will extend to/from Wallsend via Howdon and Rosehill every 30 minutes as service 41, maintaining the link between these places and Battle Hill/Howdon.

Together the 41 and 80 provide a bus every 15 minutes between Howdon (Coniston Road/Ridley Avenue) and Wallsend town centre.
