Sunderland Connect is your route to the main attractions in Sunderland City Centre. Whether you live, work, study or are just visiting the city, Sunderland Connect is perfect for getting you where you need to be.
If you are looking for culture take Sunderland Connect to the Empire theatre, St Peter’s Church, the Winter Gardens and the National Glass Centre. For sporting activity, use the bus to get to the Stadium of Light and Aquatic Centre. For shopping, take Sunderland Connect to the Bridges.
Students can use Sunderland Connect to travel between the Millfield halls of residence and the City Centre and St Peter’s campuses. Sunderland Connect also serves the Royal Hospital and provides connections with other bus, Metro and train services at Park Lane Interchange.
Fares and Tickets
- A flat fare applies on this service, priced at £1.25*for any single journey.
- An all-day ticket is also available priced at £2.10, which allows unlimited travel on Sunderland Connect for one day.
- Family ticket costing £5 for two adults and up to three children
- Weekly Ticket giving unlimited travel for a week, for only £8
Our full range of Buzzfare, Network One and Get Around tickets is valid, and if you have a concession pass you can travel free of charge after 0930 on weekdays (all day at weekends).
University of Sunderland staff and students can travel free of charge with a University ID card.
