The new OK1 provides a direct link from Crook to Bishop Auckland, West Auckland and Darlington, every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes.
The OK Expressway has been named is in recognition of the OK Travel brand that was familiar to many in Crook.
Pronto X46 will run from Crook to Durham, calling at Willington, Brancepeth, Meadowfield and Langley Moor to provide journeys for connections with other Go North East routes in Durham Bus Station.
OK Motor Services - Celebrating 100 years 1912 - 2012
2012 would have been the Centenary year for OK Motor Services and it was on Saturday 6 April 1912 that company founder Wade Emmerson ran his first bus from Evenwood to Bishop Auckland.
Go North East is pleased to introduce The OK Expressway that will be run with buses carrying the famous OK Motor Services livery and have a small team of locally based drivers.
