Travel off peak, anywhere, for just 80p!
Pay just 80p for a single journey on any of our services when you travel off peak. Off peak times include: Monday to Friday 0930 to 1430, then 1700 onwards; and all day at weekends, bank holidays and main school holidays. Check here for the holiday dates when the off peak prices apply.
Simpler peak time fares
Travel before 0930 or between 1430 and 1700 on school days and pay one of four new peak time single fares: 80p, £1.20, £1.60 or £2.

Travel all day for just £3 with a Get Around day ticket. Buy your ticket on the bus with your Get Around key or save even more and buy it online.

In Tyne & Wear the Nexus 50p single and £1 day ticket prices for Nexus Under 16 card holders (which is changing to the Pop Under 16 card) remain unchanged by our new under 18 fares deal with our new Get Around key smartcard.
If you’re between 11 and 18 years of age you will need a Get Around key smartcard to get these discounts. This just makes it hassle free when using our services.
For those between 5 and 10 years old, you don’t need a Get Around key to get these discounted fares but we do recommend that you still get one as they are quick and easy to use.
Children under 5 years travel free on our services when travelling with a fare paying passenger (to a maximum of 3 children per passenger).
