You're never too early to travel with Go North East
On Monday to Friday between 1 July and 1 September, anyone with an English National Concessionary pass which only allows travel after 0930 will be able to pay one of two simple fares to travel earlier on Monday to Friday on Go North East buses
- Travel before 0930 on Go North East buses
- Monday to Friday between 1 July and 1 September 2010
- Travel anywhere in Tyne and Wear for just 60p each single journey; or between Tyne and Wear and County Durham or Northumberland for just £1 each single journey
Go North East buses operate right around the North East where you can take in some of the region's many attractions. Visit the Angel of the North on our 'angel' 21, take a trip to the beach along our celebrated Coaster route or take the kids back in time with a trip to Beamish on our Lime or Waggonway services.
- Show your English National Concessionary travel pass to your driver and ask for your destination
- Your driver will advise you which fare applies
- Pay the 60p or £1 single fare as requested
- Keep your ticket and pass safe for inspection
- Travel before 0930 on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays continues to be free of charge.
Local concessionary travel rules
- Tyne and Wear pass holders free travel after 0930 for journeys starting in Tyne and Wear.
- Northumberland pass holders free travel after 0900 for journeys starting in Northumberland.
- Durham and Tees Valley pass holders travel free at all times in their local area.
