Sacriston Carnival takes place on Saturday 21 June, with a procession, resulting in road closures, between 10.15 and 11.15.
The procession will commence from Lingey Close (near the council depot) and will proceed via Front Street and Durham Road to Fyndoune Community College.
This will necessitate the following road closures:
Front Street between Lingey Close/St Peters Church and Sacriston Crossroads, Durham Road between Sacriston Cross Roads and Fyndoune Community College, Witton Road between Sacriston Cross Roads and Valley View and Plawsworth Road between Sacriston Cross Roads and John Street.
The following diversions for services 13, 14, 25, 25A, 43 & 44 will be necessary ONLY FOR THE JOURNEYS DETAILED BELOW:

10:35 from Langley Park will operate normally to Witton Gilbert Front Street, then via A691 to Sniperley Roundabout, Dryburn Park, Blackie Boy roundabout then re-join normal route to Durham.
10:21 from Durham will operate normally to Blackie Boy roundabout, then Dryburn Park, Sniperley Roundabout and A691 to Witton Gilbert Front Street, then re-join normal route to Langley Park.

10:07 & 10:47 from Langley Park will operate normally to Witton Gilbert Front Street, then light via A691 to Sniperley Roundabout, A167 northbound to Pity Me Roundabout, then re-join normal route to Arnison Centre and Durham.
10:01 & 10:41 from Durham will operate normally to Arnison Centre, then light via A167 southbound to Sniperley Roundabout and A691 to Witton Gilbert Front Street, then re-join normal route to Langley Park.
