Centurion

Centurion buses 75, 76, 85 and 86 run in North Tyneside serving North Tyneside Hospital, Monkseaton, Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and North Shields;  Centurion 75 and 76 serve Cobalt and continue into Newcastle Haymarket via Coast Road and Northumbria University.

Centurion buses, which feature a Roman helmet as part of their livery, are named after the strong Roman connections along parts of their route.

Our Tickets & Fares

We’ve some great value tickets and fares for travel on the Centurion.

Our Cheap Day return tickets are available from just £2.40 or you can travel as much as you like from just £4* a day with a Buzzfare day ticket available from the driver. *From 8 August 2010.

If you travel on our services a few times a week then you will save money with our range of weekly, monthly or annual Buzzfare tickets.

What’s more, once you get your ticket, you can use it as much as you want including evenings & weekends!

Our Centurion services run within our Blue Buzzfare zone giving you a week of unlimited travel for just £15.50* or get 28 days of travel for just £57*. Tickets are available from the driver and travel shops or save 10% by purchasing your ticket online. *From 8 August 2010.

Plus, you could save another 25% if your employer buys an annual ticket for you under our corporate discount scheme, compared to the price of individual 28 day tickets.

Citylink Weekly Saver just £11

If you're travelling from points between Newcastle City Centre and Gala Bingo on Middle Engine Lane you can use a Citylink weekly saver ticket on the Centurion plus any City Link, 308 Bargain Bus or 309 Cobalt Clipper. Tickets are available from the driver.

For 19-22 year olds our range of Get Around tickets give massive discounts with tickets offering unlimited travel starting at £3 a day or £13 a week!

Cleaner buses - Our Kite Mark explained
