The Cobalt Clipper 309 runs every 15 minutes between Newcastle and Whitley Bay, and every 30 minutes between Whitley Bay and Blyth. Buses will run via the Coast Road, but then via Kings Road and Battle Hill rather than Silverlink.
Service 310 joins the Cobalt Clipper brand and will run every 15 minutes between Newcastle and North Shields via Coast Road, High Farm, Battle Hill, Middle Engine Lane, Norham Road, Verne Road and Meadow Well. Service 310 will run half hourly during the daytime on Sundays, and hourly every evening giving links to Newcastle from Norham Road, Verne Road, Meadowell and North Shields at these times.
Together the 309 and 310 will provide a bus every 7-8 minutes between Newcastle (Haymarket), the Coast Road, Battle Hill and Middle Engine Lane.
Go North East has one of the cleanest bus fleets of its size in the country and to make it even easier for you to see how well your bus is doing to help look after the environment, we have introduced a new ‘kite mark’ on our buses.
Using simple illustrations based on a red kite bird taking flight, each symbol lets you see at-a-glance how each of our buses meet European standards on emissions. Find out more about cleaner engines.
