• Highwayman busFrom 25 January 2015, the evening and Sunday route of service 97 will be revised in Newcastle City Centre to avoid traffic congestion.
  • From Gateshead, some journeys will operate to Newcastle via Askew Road, Redheugh Bridge, Clayton Street and Grainger Street to reach Market Street.

The Highwayman 97 runs every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes, giving links from Lobley Hill Road and Whickham, serving Gateshead Interchange, Newcastle and Metrocentre.

The Highwayman 98 and 98A run every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes, giving links from Dunston and Whickham, serving Gateshead Interchange, Newcastle and Metrocentre.
