QuayLink

Go North East, which has won a five year contract from the QuayLink partnership of Newcastle City Council, Gateshead Council and Nexus, unveiled the distinctive new buses on Newcastle’s historic Quayside.

QuayLink will run up to every 10 minutes during the daytimes and gives the best links to all of the attractions that NewcastleGateshead offers.

Our Tickets & Fares

Stagecoach Megariders, Uniriders, Dayriders and VIP tickets are not valid on QuayLink buses.

MetroSavers, Network One Traveltickets (zone One), CT passes, Under 16 Cards, Explorer ticktes and Transfares will still be valid on Quaylink, and in addition, Go North East’s Buzzfare and Get Around tickets.

If you already have a Buzzfare ticket that covers either blue and purple zones, then you can use QuayLink buses.

For just £10 our Buzzfare family day ticket gives you great value and the freedom to travel on any Go North East service that day as long as you all stay together. A family ticket is available for up to five people travelling in a group with 1 or 2 adults and at least 1 child under 16.

If you have a Get Around ticket, you can use QuayLink services. Get Around tickets give massive discounts with tickets offering unlimited travel starting at £3.20 a day!

Cleaner buses - Our Kite Mark explained

Go North East has one of the cleanest bus fleets of its size in the country and to make it even easier for you to see how well your bus is doing to help look after the environment, we have introduced a new ‘kite mark’ on our buses.

Using simple illustrations based on a red kite bird taking flight, each symbol lets you see at-a-glance how each of our buses meet European standards on emissions. Find out more about cleaner engines.
