The OK Way

Due to the ongoing sewer replacement scheme in Bishop Auckland, part of Woodhouse Lane in the vicinity of Watling Road and Cockton Hill Road will be closed from 1 December 2014 for approximately three months.

  • Service 18 will be affected by this, with buses running via Lambton Drive and Escomb Road, instead of Cabin Gate (Kensington) and Cockton Hill Road.
  • A new copy of the timetable is shown below for the duration of the works.

The OK Way 18 is a local bus route linking Bishop Auckland town centre, the General Hospital, Asda and Morrisons with Coundon and Woodhouse Close, running every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytimes.

Kite Mark 4Cleaner buses - Our Kite Mark explained

Go North East has one of the cleanest bus fleets of its size in the country and to make it even easier for you to see how well your bus is doing to help look after the environment, we have introduced a new ‘kite mark’ on our buses.

Using simple illustrations based on a red kite bird taking flight, each symbol lets you see at-a-glance how each of our buses meet European standards on emissions. Find out more about cleaner engines.
