Santa swaps his sleigh for a Fab 57

Go North East Service Delivery Manager, Fred Martin, is holding a bus surgery at Blaydon Bus Station on Tuesday, 18 March between 10am and 2pm.

Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) regularly work closely with the local community in the area their buses serve, listening to suggestions and complaints as well as offering practical advice on services.

Fred will have a minubus parked at Stand A in the bus station packed with timetables and information leaflets on services in Blaydon as well as the wider area.

Fred has been SDM for the Blaydon Racers services 10, 11 and X11, since they were first introduced two years ago. He said,

“I really enjoy meeting passengers and our surgeries are usually really popular. I think people really appreciate having a real person to talk to rather than just having to work things out for themselves or look up information.

Bus surgeries are just one of many ways passengers can have a say about their bus services. Go North East also holds regular live web chat sessions and have recently introduced a series of Meet the Manager sessions where passengers can meet senior managers as well as their local SDMs.
