Faresaver tickets still offer great deal despite price increase
Go North East is increasing the price of their BuzzFare and Get Around faresaver tickets from June 29 due to the continuing increase in the price of fuel.
Commercial Director for Go North East, Martin Harris said, “Increases have been kept as low as possible and still represent great value for money. Our monthly three zone BuzzFare ticket still only costs £78 for unlimited travel right across the region during the day, seven days a week - that’s about the cost of filling up a family car with petrol which is unlikely to last anywhere near as long.”
BuzzFare tickets are designed to offer savings for regular travellers on Go North East buses and following the increase will start at just £3.50 for a full day’s travel.
Even after the increases, Get Around tickets, which are aimed at young people travelling to school, college or university will also continue to offer great value with unlimited travel during the day from as little as £2.50 a day. The weekly ticket costs just £11 and can be used at any time of the day or night, including weekends, on all Go North East buses, except Night Buses.
This is the first fare increase for BuzzFare and Get Around tickets which were introduced in July last year.
