All that glitters IS gold with Go North East’s Citylink buses
People passing Grey’s Monument between 11am and 2pm on Thursday, March 27 will be able to get a sneak preview of one of Go North East’s brand new, Mercedes Citylink buses, which will be in service from Sunday, March 30. They’ll also get the chance to win one of 50 BuzzFare daily passes to try out any Go North East bus in the region.
The top-to-toe gold buses not only offer the sleek, elegance of first class travel but promise passengers a gold standard service too. With a team of staff dedicated solely to Citylink, the gold standard service also promises to deliver unrivalled punctuality and reliability.
With plush seats, air conditioning, CCTV, tinted windows and ramps and low floors for easy access, Citylink is set to bring a touch of class to daily bus travel.
Equipped with the latest Euro V engines, the buses not only look good, but provide one of the cleanest ways to travel by bus.
To make sure passengers look after their own gold, Go North East are offering a special daily saver fare of just £2 from the first date of operation, offering a whole day of luxurious travel on Citylink. The fare offer runs for two weeks from March 30.
The service will also have a permanent weekly saver fare of just £10 for seven days.
Citylink will provide direct links between North Tyneside’s Hadrian Park, the Coast Road, Newcastle, Gateshead and Heworth. Frequent services will operate from early morning until early evening on Monday to Saturday and late evening buses will run every half hour.
The bus will also provide a new night bus service, N58, which will run through to the early hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings with an extended route to include Station Road, Mullen Road and King’s Road.
